Welcome to Cwtch Pals – affiliated City of Sanctuary group
Through practical action we are conveying the warmth and love of our community here in West Wales to replace the horrors and aggression other communities are enduring. We take part in campaigning to make it possible for Palestinian refugees to come to the UK through community sponsorship.
This group is helping families from Gaza to rebuild their lives. We are mothers and others in West Wales. We do this through friendships with the families and sister organisations in Egypt, by visiting and video calls.
We started In January 2024 by helping families with children get out of Gaza to save their lives, until that was stopped when Rafah was invaded and the border shut.
Some of us are holocaust descendants, some connected to holocaust children rescuers. Some have experience of Community Sponsorship of refugees in Wales.
There are many ways to join this and help. Get in touch. We have WhatsApp groups for – our community sponsorship campaign with weekly meetings, and for organisers, events and donors.
